As his name implied, Jack was full of life and keen to swim and retrieve. He was successful in the show ring, and won 3 BABY IN GROUPs, 1 BABY IN OPEN SHOW (Specialty), as well as 4 MINOR IN GROUPs, 3 MINOR IN SHOWS, 1 PUPPY SHOW (Specialty), and 3 PUPPY IN GROUPs. He achieved this with selected showing, in between learning his field skills. He had an exuberant, outgoing personality. In the German Shorthaired Pointer Club of Queensland's Pointscore Competition for 2004, Jack was METROPOLITAN SHOW PUPPY DOG OF THE YEAR, and he gained his AUSTRALIAN CHAMPION title in April, 2005. Jack enjoyed retrieving and hunting with his usual great enthusiasm. He was a proven sire, with 5 AUSTRALIAN CHAMPION offspring (Paddy, Penny, Rosie, Georgia, and Rumba), as well as 2 GRAND CHAMPIONs (Paddy and Rumba) to his credit. He has left us with a wonderful contribution to our blood lines, and loving memories which we will always cherish.
